GALACTIC at the LASER – World of Photonics 2022
After a pause of three years, the LASER – World of Photonics took place in Munich at the end of April 2022. A short video presented the GALACTIC project at the stand of the Laser Zentrum Hannover e.V. in hall A5. The main goals of the EU-financed project and especially the current results were of interest for many visitors: the produced and coated crystals are very promising by now, and we could demonstrate in our laser setup that they are as good as comparable components commercially available only from outside Europe.
The GALACTIC team also took the opportunity to meet in person as the project partners Optomaterials S.r.l. and Altechna Coatings were also present at the show, the latter also with an own stand.
